Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JFK Surfaces Incorporated (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the maker of the Haul-O-Way mobile app and website (the “Service”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service for you and your business.
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account & business | Your name, email, phone, password (stored encrypted), and business profile (company name, address, logo, licence and tax numbers you choose to enter). | To create and secure your account and to brand your invoices and receipts. |
| Operational data you enter | Customers/clients, assets and trucks, jobs, schedules, pricing, invoices, weights, and notes. | This is the core of the Service — it is your business data, which we store so you can run your operation. |
| Photos & files | Proof-of-service photos, asset and place photos, crew documents, and your logo. | To document jobs, prove delivery/pickup, and attach records to your account. |
| Location | Your device’s approximate or precise location, only while the app is in use. | To centre the live map on your area and place jobs. We do not track your location in the background. |
| Device & usage | Device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic/error logs. | To keep the app working, fix crashes, and improve reliability. |
| Payment | Subscription plan and billing status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. | To manage your subscription (when paid plans are enabled). |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
- To generate your invoices, receipts, and job records, branded with your business details.
- To send you essential service messages (for example, account, security, or billing notices).
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), our legal bases are: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent (for example, device location), and compliance with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers (processors) who operate our infrastructure on our behalf, under contract, including:
- hosting, database, authentication, and file storage;
- payment processing (for subscription billing);
- messaging/notification delivery (when enabled).
- Within your organization: data you enter is visible to other members of your own company account according to their role. Each company’s data is isolated from other companies.
- Legal & safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of you, us, or others.
- Business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data and your company’s data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
5. Your rights and choices
You can access and update most of your information directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- Access & correction: edit your profile, business details, and records in the app at any time.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from within the app. You may also email us to request deletion.
- Location: you can turn off location permission in your device settings; the live map simply won’t auto-centre.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of credentials, and per-company data isolation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you as required if a breach affects you.
7. International data transfers
Haul-O-Way is available globally. Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
